FARROW is a Neo-Classic Rock band from Buffalo, New York with high-energy shows, thought-provoking lyrics, and infectious melodies. They believe Joy is Revolutionary!
This diverse group of musicians creates songs that make you move to the movement and savor everyday joys like eating a fried pierogi dipped in hot sauce. Led by producer/bass player André Pilette and singer/lyricist Michael Farrow, the band features Michael Ruopoli on percussion, Cory Clancy on guitar, Rufus “Breezy” Cole Jr. on keys, and Danielle A. Johnson on vocals.
Recent performance highlights include Borderland Music + Arts Festival, The Great Blue Heron Music Festival, North By Northeast Music Festival (Toronto), Bowery Electric (NYC), Rockwood Music Hall (NYC), Jamey’s House of Music (Philadelphia), Funk ‘n Waffles (Syracuse), Shea’s Performing Arts Center, Town Ballroom, Buffalo Iron Works, Sportsmen’s Tavern, Erie County Fair, and several outdoor summer concert series around Western New York.
In December 2023, our drummer and founding band member Tim Webb passed away unexpectedly. Collectively, we were shocked, devastated, and heartbroken.
Tim was both a stalwart and a steward of the Buffalo music scene. He was widely respected and deeply loved, and he will be missed dearly. He was the heartbeat of this band. His passing came just as we finished our 3rd album “Organize.” Alas, it is now his swan song, and his brilliance as a top-notch drummer is all over the record.
We got to honor and celebrate our friend during the album release show at Town Ballroom on Friday, January 26, 2024, with several drummers who volunteered to perform in his stead. Tim Webb’s life and legacy are worth celebrating and ain’t nothing gonna steal our joy.
Rest in peace and power, Tim.
Since forming in the Summer of 2019, we’ve played gigs all over Western New York as well as some regional tour dates, performing from a catalog of original songs. Since 2021, we’ve been adding exclusive content to our fan club channel, and we truly appreciate your support to help us continue to produce content.

“All of them will encompass the idea of revolutionary joy,” Michael Farrow tells me when describing Farrow, and their vision of where their music’s been and where their music’s going. It shows and it shines of course, since Farrow has been a staple here in Western NY for the last several years, taking the music scene here by storm, opening for national acts like Portugal the Man. Headed by socialist folk Singer/Songwriter MYQ F, Farrow’s debut album, Agitate, continues the legacy of Woody Guthrie’s establishment-challenging politick and Lizzo’s heartfelt rebellion in purely unfettered lyricism. Farrow’s work embraces predecessors like Parliament Funkadelic and Sly Stone, in a beautiful symmetry between P-Funk, Jam, R&B/Soul, and Old-School Folk. Read more…

It’s been three good years for the Buffalo-based band Farrow and there appears to be promising prospects ahead. But the band, formed by lead singer and writer Mike Farrow and bassist-writer André Pilette, almost never came to be.
